Blue Room, Bluecoat’s inclusive arts project for learning disabled adults has formed a new group with Norton Priory Museum and Gardens in Runcorn. Blue Room is aimed at learning disabled people who are interested in art. Together, the group explore the heritage of Norton Priory and create contemporary art inspired by the natural landscape of the grounds. Members are also supported to access volunteering opportunities, iand can work towards achieving an Arts Award (up to the age of 25).

Sessions take place for 50 weeks per year and are supported by a team of artist facilitators, support workers and volunteers. Blue Room members may be able to access personal budgets to fund their attendance, it is also possible to self-fund.

We are currently recruiting new members for the group. If you or someone you know would like to become a Blue Room member at Norton Priory please contact Katrina Shock on katrina.s@thebluecoat.org.uk or 0151 702 7781.
